Why in gods name would any CEO want to bring his company, no matter how grand the tax breaks are, to a congressional district that prides itself in the "unwilling to work"??!!??
Well, just the fact that the Associated Press, the WaPo, NYT and every single liberal fish wrap is laying cover for Jussie Smollett instead of lambasting him is proof enough that the msm is about as "fair and balanced" as any conservative media outlet that the left constantly derides. repubs aren't going to jump in because they see Trump as a radical and dangerous outsider that could bring ruin to their party, as well as their careers. If McCain, Romney, Pence or any other longtime party affiliate were the current president, the party would quickly fall in line. But since many of them consider Trump as a dangerous and divisive outsider, the party will remain fractured. Only the mutual disgust of far left Socialist policies keeps them somewhat united.
he's a liberal activist, and he probably wishes to remain in a liberal bastion as he is opposed to the idea of his uber-successful corporation providing tons of money, infrastructure and brain power to communities that don't share his values. to me, it just makes more sense to lift up a community that wants to work, as opposed to providing funds to provide free money to those who refuse to earn it.
I think his argument with the New York based National Inquirer also played a role in his decision to go elsewhere--he may be changing his politics soon. But the straw that tipped him out of NYC most definitely was AOCs comment about pride in "unwilling to work". No CEO needs that kind of population as a "work" force.
Umm that was actually a typo lol. I don’t know what worse that that would be discussed as a possibility (it had to come from somewhere) or that they are so incompetent as to not proof read something they are releasing to the public. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by either.
I believe I actually heard her verbalize that on a news program while I ate dinner., unless it was a news narrator...?
The best part was that AOC actually thought that the $3b in tax breaks meant there was $3B in excess cash just sitting there the "could be used for more important things likes education" It's funny, but it's kinda scary
A hot-under-the-collar Mayor Bill de Blasio tore into Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday as he blistered both the online giant and local politicians who opposed bringing it to Queens. “As a progressive my entire life — and I ain’t changing — I’ll take on any progressive anywhere that thinks it’s a good idea to lose jobs and revenue because I think that’s out of touch with what working people want,” the mayor said on WNYC radio.
It was also on Ocasio-Cortez's website for awhile, then hurriedly pulled down. No misquotes or typos there lol A line on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's website supporting "economic security to all those who are unable or unwilling to work" triggered backlash this week and prompted mixed messages from her team about where the line came from. Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff later admitted the webpage was authentic, but that it had been a draft published by mistake. A line on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's website supporting "economic security to all those who are unable or unwilling to work" triggered backlash this week and prompted mixed messages from her team about where the line came from, and whether it was ever intended to be part of the landmark Green New Deal policy package. Though the actual Green New Deal legislation introduced to the House of Representatives contains no mention of guaranteeing economic security to those "unwilling to work," the phrase was included on Ocasio-Cortez's website in a Frequently Asked Questions page that has since been removed from the site. The page was also sent to reporters, including NPR, which published the document, and the Washington Post. Intense criticism ensued, and some of Ocasio-Cortez's staffers and advisers attempted to walk back the "unwilling to work" line.
Well, that backs up when I heard it, with that idiot Cong. Markey, who is evidently trying like hell to get into her pants....
If this kind of crap (AOC; Jussie Smollett) is still happening and Trump gets re-elected, they're gonna have to come up with a new scapegoat because the Russian card is getting all worn out and dog-eared. Don't forget, Bezos implied that Trump may have been behind the National Enquirer's release of the story of his affair with his concubine, saying the story was politically motivated. That got shut down quick when it was discovered that it was the concubine's brother who released the texting and sexting. I have yet to see anybody retract anything about that, either.
