No, Trump is a throw back to what a President should be. An individual.

 

Maybe we should get back to more traditional candidates. Like rich white elite academia.

 

Who exactly are the "forgotten people"?

 

There are none anymore--they are either black, Injun squaws, spics, or idiots......and all are "unwilling to work". Always have been.
No more PC......

 

I believe Hillary called them "Deplorables" if I remember correctly.

 

The people who didn't have someone in the White House representing them with policies that they have been asking for. The people who have been maligned by the "elite" in this country. The people who voted for this President to fight back on their behalf. Those are the "forgotten" people. But they are forgotten, no more...

 

So conservatives....

 

Or white lower/middle class people.

 

Sorry I just don't see any "forgotten people". You had 8 years of a Democrat in office, of course Republican policies aren't going to be at the top of his agenda. Just as Trump is ignoring and undoing all of the former Dem POTUS policies. Trump gets re-elected then the Dems can start calling themselves the "forgotten ones"? Seems dumb to me.

 

How'd you fellas do on your taxes this year? Get a return? Owe? Same as usual?

 

Don't read too far into it, it's called firing up your base.

 

2018 was the best year I ever had income wise, including working years where I was well-paid. My efforts trading made a huge difference. My taxes were so low as to be laughable, so I did well.

We got back more than we've ever gotten as a married couple (over 6 years). It helped us get get ahead financially so we got a new car for my wife and scheduled some vacations and replaced the transmission in my Trailblazer.

 

That's awesome. Good for y'all... I got effed, but I expected it.

Lots of good reasons to move to FL, but I think you know those already.

 

Keep in mind, most of my income was trading results, so most of the tax was capital gains, which is taxed at a much lower rate, 20% in my case. I was hoping for 15%, but I earned too much over the line.
