Few Americans vote in what they think are benign poularity contests. They have to have a hatred or be fired up to turn out & vote.

Probably similar numbers up here in deep blue country.

The Right cannot give up the fight while the liberal/MSM brainwashing of the masses and the hypocritical onslaught on our society's fundamental values continue.

Seattle is overrun by hobo camps popping up in storefronts and sidewalks throughout the city.

My own small town has a similar issue on a somewhat smaller scale.

Who else out there is encountering this phenomenon?

Does Florida have bum camps as well, or have most of the cities escaped this problem?

There are some homeless in FL but you don't see it like that, not in my experience anyways.

We have a couple hundred or so that have been squatting in plain view on the harbor's river bank on private property. Another couple hundred are setting up tents and cardboard box shelters in front of banks, doctor's offices and Hispanic "mom and pop" stores.

The city recently voted to move them to another part of the city...Right to the heart of town on an open lot next to the main bus terminal lol. That got shot down in a hurry.

City has provided dumpsters and porta potties on their encampment, but all they do is wreck them and set them ablaze. They refuse to abide by any rules, nor do they have the slightest interest in policing themselves.

"Lack of affordable housing" is not the problem, no matter what some people will tell you.

I'm not so sure that "voting them out" would have any effect on this particular problem. I'm fact, I have an extremely difficult time thinking of any type of viable solution that doesn't outright infringe on guaranteed liberties.

Laws need to be crafted, and tax monies need to be alotted correctly and efficiently to get a handle on this epidemic.

Since California is the flag bearer for this particular problem, it will be interesting to watch what their elected representatives do, or whether the population reaches a boiling point and rebels at the polls.

More likely, the media will decide that it's bad for their narrative and quietly shuffles it to the shadows

Yeah it’s a difficult issue to fix at this stage. Hopefully it doesn’t keep getting worse and spread.

Philly, like all the major cities in the NE and mid-west, has always had a homeless problem. Dozens or more freeze to death every year. Shelters are always overcrowded, full of the mentally ill and drug addicted, none of which ever get proper care. In Philly, the news Du Jour is the 'opioid epidemic" Safe Injection sites sponsored by the city, using tax dollar funding, are all the rage right now. How would you like one of those popping up in your neighborhood? Mayor Kenney, or Mayor McDrunk as he is known around here, has declared Philly a sanctuary city and refuses to work with ICE, creating a massive influx of illegals. The schools are garbage, the infrastructure is crumbling, and no big business wants anything to do with the city. Young, white, liberal professionals flee the city en mass to the suburbs, where they plop down their "hate has no home here" and "black lives matter" signs on their front yards, causing red counties to turn blue. Then they come to the beach in the Summer and expect us to treat them like royalty.
