Like I stated before, many programs exist and are in place to help people in the rare instances you outline. But you refuse to either understand or acknowledge this. It's much easier for you to point out what you believe is wrong with answers from people that disagree with you.

That's why your answer to everybody is always framed with a question. You already have a pre-existing answer to your own questions, and it's safer for you to critique everybody's answers as opposed to nutting up and stating your opinion, then following it up with actual hard facts and data. Yet your answers contain nothing but feelings, conjecture, histrionics and more open-ended questions.

This is why people get tired of debating you.

For the record, go check your nearest urban area and talk to the poor in the street. I will go on record that you will find exactly 0.0% of the poor in the street due to not being able to foot the bill for their kid's congenital heart failure or some such nonsense.

Nobody stops and evaluates their DNA prior to conceiving; have you filled out a questionnaire just prior to sexual activity?? You must have never had sex (at least not with a female human) if you believe that. And you don't repair DNA by detoxifying. Congenital Heart Disease isn't the result of spontaneous mutations caused by heavy drinking. it is found in family genetic lines. Thank God you did not go into medicine , arch!!
As for being a proactive human, yes that will keep you healthy if you are born with health. But the vast majority of those born with congenital diseases will have problems no matter how proactive they are.
Now, should government have a role in helping such individuals?? The Constitution has no provision for such role, so I usually tend to go with that alone, but a society that refuses to care for its infirm, its aged? What kind of society would that be?? When it comes to helping those groups, you cannot blame them for the diseases they have, nor for those that would otherwise abuse the system.
We need a "safety net". And even your boy Trump is going along with that--he is merely changing the name of Obamacare to Trumpcare.
