No not at all. I didn't vote for Obama or his policies. I was saying how I would determine if Trump were to be successful. I voted for him and his policies. I wouldn't apply the same logic to Obama unless I had voted for him or his policies. Besides, Obamacare is a failure, the Middle East is a failure, in fact it's worse now than before. America is more divided now than I have seen in 35 years. Chicago, his own backyard, a war zone. Just a complete failure.
I understand what you're saying. So if you were an Obama supporter, you would consider him successful?
Nope, for the very same failures I listed above. While he may have did some things he said he would do, he didn't do them correctly. Take my neighbors lawn service guy for example. He's paid to cut and maintain their lawn. He comes out every week as promised. He cuts the grass as promised. He weed eats as promised... but when he's done with the lawn, it looks terrible!
I for one will never tie my success with the person that is prez, but this time I will. In 8 years under Obama I never lost my job, went from the top 25% of wage earners to top 5, retirement fund is massive (won't sponge off my children like kiddie r), my house has gained 1330 sq feet, and have 2 awesome new cars. Oh yeah, multiple surf trips, ownership in a beach house and Iceland in June. If you can't make it in the USA you are just sad and pathetic. I hope all you socialists waiting for comrade trum-pee enjoy making excuses again in 4 years when your life still sucks.
Oh yeah kiddie r, I was unable to surf yesterday. Was too busy having Medicare taken out my check to support you.
Trumps love affair with Putin is disconcerting. I have a feeling as time goes on more ties between the two will surface. I have nothing against Russians and would like for relations between us to improve, I think it would make for a safer world and would help with the fight against terrorism, but Putin is no joke. An interesting doc is Putin's Way from the show Frontline. (Frontline is a PBS show but I have found it to be the most objective out of any news show.) I want Trump to do well because then we all do well and am still giving him a chance but up till now I have been shaking my head. Tillerson is not draining the swamp, trying to get rid of the ethics committee and this avoidance of getting rid of any conflicts of interest is focking shady. Never liked that we didn't get a peek at his tax returns. But then again, he doesn't pay taxes. And once again, Putin. He sh!ts on John McCain and kisses Putins ass? Plus sessions sucks, sorry. Trump doesn't have to be a saint to do well, understood, but he will get the same scrutiny as Obama, as he should. We do not need to blindly follow, Mattis (who should be president) did not agree with the Trump doctrine at his confirmation hearing, neither did Tillerson for that matter. That says something to me.
Also, I feel for you Zippy. I don't know what was Obama's bigger fock up, the ACA or the vacuum he left in Iraq that started Isis (The Rise Of Isis, another great Frontline doc, very damning of the Obama administration).
1) I'll put my retirement fund up against yours any day. 2) Got my own insurance plan too, so no Medicare. 3) You don't surf. Name calling, huh? Obviously butthurt. Keep it classy dude lol
How so? He's an outsider, never served in government and never been a lobbyist. He's been with Exxon longer than I've been alive. Not sure what you mean. I think the problem is you and many others don't understand what drain the swamp really means.
Straight from the horses mouth... "That is why I am proposing a package of ethics reforms to make our government honest once again. First: I am going to institute a 5-year ban on all executive branch officials lobbying the government after they leave government service. Second: I am going to ask Congress to institute its own 5-year ban on lobbying by former members of Congress and their staffs. Third: I am going to expand the definition of lobbyist so we close all the loopholes that former government officials use by labeling themselves consultants and advisors when we all know they are lobbyists. Fourth: I am going to issue a lifetime ban against senior executive branch officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government. Fifth: I am going to ask Congress to pass a campaign finance reform that prevents registered foreign lobbyists from raising money in American elections."
Fair enough. I'm not trying to bag on him too much, if it were Hitlery I'd be much worse. But if something is obvious b.s. we have to call it. No matter how big a Trump supporter you or others on here may be, I'm sure you're not going to save your money to send the kids to Trump University? Why? Cause it's b.s.
Busy today, surf was good again. While you were playing Post Police again. "Hands up, it's the Post Police." lmao
I just want people to give him and his cabinet a chance is all. A lot of misinformation or misinterpreting of the facts going on too.
Except for those 8 years of continuous job growth, 8 years of GDP growth, no recessions. Kept us out of the Middle East meat grinder. Unemployment dropped from over 10% to less than 5%. No major terrorist attacks. Stock market tripled. Cut deficit by 75%. Guided the economy back from the Great Recession. Income taxes are the lowest in 50 years. More illeagles deported than any other president. If that's a complete failure, well...
8 years of GDP growth is what your hanging you,r hat on sigmoney? First president since Hoover that has not seen 3% GDP. And we are not out of Middle East. And he did not guid anything back from recession.
