i mainly hope it goes east of florida for the obvious reasons, but also if it goes into the gulf it's gonna be monsterous and aim right towards LA which is not what we need.
irene was like the storm of the century, for those who were able to score her awesomeness.i was in one of the mandatory evacuation zones and my town was completely flooded,so nobody could get in or out.this storm looks like itll send us a decent south swell, nothing to go crazy over but we should get some decent chest head hi surf.i dont see alek and cory booking lastminute flights for this one...
We dont need any Gulf waves!!! Or high Gas prices! It would be a waste of waves in the Gulf. But the main thing is ... I doubt if everone wants to start paying $5.00 a gallon for gas if it goes to the gulf!
Wave gods won't be sending anything for Brode, but for the rest of us, well.... we'll manage to score some modest OH - DOH tubes, nothing epic or anything...
haha i ride a beach cruiser board in hand to waves, suks but more money for suatanance when im salty all day........ haha epiepic lolz brode just get ur wave young'un I will watch the epic-ness and post a video if its nething close to a debby. needs to be a 3 day event for me to film else i dont get my waves in..... very very interesting track hugging the gulf coast..... is a new city due for a landfall? I am 1 block from palma sola bay in BrADENTON so i dunno cat 2 I think i have to ski-dattle. sheeesh and ride beach cruiser thru wind and rain..... hit me up 941 and 813 i will need RIDE
The tropics are starting to really pop... three interesting systems in a row right now. Joyce is born, and another wave off the African coast. Pray for surf... and near misses!
Praying this goes like Debbie, maybe a little better if at all possible. I'll hang around for Cat 2 and under, if he turns Cat 3 i'm headed East for a few days, kinda want to take a mini-vaca anyways
I'll change this storm track myself to make a sharp turn to the NE and boomerang us east coasters with 'cane swell by taking time off early next week and reserving lodging in Destin, FL.
Hey Swellinfo, what do you think about this buoy's readings? http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=41043 The guys over at the ECSC think the NE wind fetch from Isaac will be pushing swell up to VB for the weekend...but this buoy shows the direction of the swell more ESE rather than the needed SE. Any chance this will make it up past the OBX? to the VB - Delmarva area?
There are some really interesting buoy readings from the Northeast Florida report. Only small wave heights but there are 17 second periods
