Who's gone out so far? I hit up Croatan around 2:30 til around 4:30ish, it was REALLY sloppy but the sets that came through were head high and then some. Got a little tiny bit of barrel in there. It was different using the 5'10 I just picked up, the 3 inches smaller I went feels like I cut a foot off of my board. I'm going to try and go check it out in the morning, hopefully the storm has passed by then.

Went out around 9 today and surfed til around 1. It was awesome, really strong rip on the outside and the current was inside. Paddle out was RIDICULOUS, totally worth it though. Massive sets, it was an eye pleaser as well.

Oh, and don't know if my first hurricane was exactly the best time to learn about this new board ha-ha, things super fast and turns sharp as ever.

Croatan off the hook this afternoon. Clean Head to overhead. Love when the waves are that big because it keeps so many people out of the water or they paddle out and just sit on the outside because they just can't make the commitment.

Yea bro it was so nice tonight, I napped til around 5 and went back out. It was so clean, I got real deep in one and just got closed out. Was so much better than this morning, this morning made me feel real weak haha. My shoulders were so sore tonight, I was fighting to paddle there and on top of that everyone was cool as hell out there tonight, I didn't see anyone get snaked. Everyone was just stoked and feeding off of each other.

So nice, def going to have a lot higher morale for work tomorrow now

Right on, what were you guys riding? Never know who you're talking to in the line up haha.

This guy got a longboard broken over his shoulder, then was run over later on a few lines down the night. He was tearing it up

HA- dont joke, there is actually a small cult of bay surfers around here. My buddy from the ship yard took me out to their spot during the nor-eastern last year. Surprisingly decently waves to be had out there... but they just talked **** about ocean surfers the whole time... imagine that?

Im going to jump ship and head down to obx today, according to our trusty forecast it should be chest high and perfect in rodanthe.

It's too bad that swell can't hold up for days instead of hours!
