How many of you get vaccinations before your surf trips? Like Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico and anywhere else. Would be interested to hear everyones thoughts

A shot in the ass might be more trouble than it's worth, sparky.

I know I'm choosing just to get the booster for my hep A and B where the typhoid I think I'm better off just bringing antibiotics and finding bottled water as its only around 50% effective anyway

I would say the hepatitis boosters are a good choice.

I have not. I think you would be generally ok in Centro. At the very least make sure tetanus is up to date I'd say. Hep A/B is a good idea though.
For Indo (besides Bali) they recommend Hep A/B/typhoid and anti-malaria pills

Central Am is not that bad, but better safe then sorry as far as tetanus and Heb A and B. You should probably just have them anyways....
Just stay away from the water... and from some foods that might be cooked in the water... also the ice that restaurants will serve, always ask for a bottle and drink from that... one time in panama I got stomach parasite or something from eating rice... I don't even know how I made it home... I was sick for months after, had to get blood work and antibiotics... at least the surf was good! I think I lost like 15 lbs, wich is a lot for me-only at 160
