Seems that what you're missing, pump, is that it's not about Cecil the lion. It's all about the exponentially rapid destruction of the planet's species by the human virus. In that sense, then, yes you betcha it's a national & global "story line." This most grotesque murder of Cecil is exacerbated in the sense that it was performed by a wealthy educated American man of privilege upon a species that is on another, massively poorer, continent & that only huge money could facilitate the destruction of said Cecil. So, although that may seem like the "story line" to you, and many others, it really is not the "story line." See my first paragraph in this post.
