This is a message to all New York surfers. I am from the Northern beaches of New Jersey, and never been one to hate. But I heard from several people that went to Lido and Long Beach for the Leslie swell that they were vibed and told to go home numerous times. We here in Jersey have always been tolerant of you NY guys coming down here during the winter South swells. Well no longer. If your going to come down this way, you are going to get vibed BIG TIME!!! Go to Cape Cod or Deleware or Maryland for the West winds. You are no longer welcome here. Sorry if it wasn't you vibing us. Too bad. A couple of rotten apples spoil the whole barrel.

HAHHAHHAHHA Hilarious. Dont worry guys I got this one....

First off how old are you 11? Grow up bro, you want respect in the water I suggest you show it. I am a long island native, I have been surfing for over 20 years all over the world (Hawaii, CR, PR, Nicaragua, Mexicio etc.) and I have never had a problem no matter what country I have been bc I respect the ocean but more importantly I respect the people who surf those breaks on a daily basis. So if your loser friends were told to get lost they must have done something retarded...I can only imagine especially since they must be acquaintances of yours. Yes long island gets crowded...just like every good break on the east coast especially during hurricane season. It doesnt mean that you can act like your the f**king mayor and start telling people where and when they can surf. No wonder NJ gets a bad rap from time to time. You know who I feel bad for....the real NJ surfers who have to share waves with little babies like you. What an embarrassment...as if you would even know the difference between an NY and NJ surfer anyway!!! Somebody get that kid his blanky I think its time for a nap....

Paddle to the peak and park it. If someone's got a problem, say something to their face not a message board

I got Vibed once. And it was BIG TIME! I never surfed again. It's too scary. I don't even like to talk about it. I go to therapy 17 times a week to try and get over the fear. With this guy out there BIG TIME VIBING I 'll never come back.

Waves are for those who want them. As long as you show respect there should never be an issue. BTW, in the last year, I have surfed a decade dead break in NJ that came alive ALONE, surfed S-turns head high and clean 3 days straight in the winter ALONE, Surfed Turtles in Montauk on a head high day ALONE. All this "my break your break" non sense is great. I must be just getting lucky. I have surfed more days with no one out then most people. And the days like the Leslie swell that I surfed Assateague, close to 100 people in the water and caught conservatively 20-25 waves easily without battle in an hour while never dropping in.

The EAST COAST is MY home break and I am glad to welcome anyone. Those who choose to stay state locked, fools gold. Please stay and protect your homebreak, you dont deserve to enjoy the variety the east coast has to offer, hidden in front of your eyes.

Sorry NYsurf7. I'm 42 and have been surfing for 35 years and prob been more places than you, and I have always showed and gotten respect and have never had a problem either. They were vibed by the Jersey license plates. So just put another nail in your coffin, cuz NY plates around our parts will get no respect for the few a** holes that wanna tell us to split. Like I said, we always tolerated you guys coming down here and shown respect, so go cry to your mommy when you get sent out of Jersey. I hope this gives Jersey an even worse rap so no one comes our way. BTW I stopped going to Long Island years ago cuz of the lame attitudes i've witnessed up there. You can have it.

I recently met 2 long island surfers at liberia, CR airport... one was cool talking to me and my wife, the other an arrogant dbag. cool guys know this and are welcome at any break when respectful, the other half is getting snaked as usual and trash talking will ensue. this is not new

That was a fun thread...... I surf Long Island all the time without any problems. Well, once, I was riding a longboard, and was sitting way outside, scoring the biggest peaks, I did get a comment, but doing that with a longboard is unethical, I think.... Just kidding.
