Watch pro surfers test out Kelly Slater’s man-made wave

I think you overestimate my surfing abilities. I suck, therefore, would eat sand about 8 out of 10 waves.

Seriously - I think if we where to surf a wave like that- we would all be good!

Idk maybe your not that good... But I have noticed that when the waves (here At The Belmar) peel perfectly like that- I surf my best, sometimes better then I imagined lol, we would probably all get good quickly , then come home and try to surf beach breaks again... Freak out... And beg Kelly to build one in NJ..

I would love to try that wave one time, but I think I would be bored of it fairly quickly, since inconsistency and changes in the wave are all parts of surfing...

Looks fun to surf it, but these guys have to make it a full on aerial, high performance event to hold my interest.
The barrel is cool and all, but as a spectator it's boring as hell to watch. The wave is small too.
Watching a bunch of pro surfers sit inside a water fall? No thanks.
Might as well be at the local fountain at the park...

 

i agree looks fun as hell to surf but from a spectator point of view seeing who could get the longest or deepest endless barrel would get old real quick.
