Water skiing on waves...

    Came across this today. I mean, the dude is in big waves no doubt, but skiing even a steep wave is much less pitched than many tough trails on a challenging mountain. Granted, the whole thing with your terrain changing by the millisecond is present on the water, it just doesn't seem near as impressive.

    Posted this in Global Bodyboarding Talk because, well, you know...it's not near as impressive as surfing these waves. Up against Domke, this ain't even a blip on the radar. Anyone else care to voice their equally useless opinion?

    That looks pretty Roy to me. Surfers were definitely faster and more maneuverable.

    What's funny is if that guys ski were to break down the he would be a sitting duck with leg breaking twist sticks stuck to his feet when a set came through.

    So why the poles?

    Those McDermott skis he was using are made right here in Portland, ME. They're local shapers who make some good New England boards.
