    Monmouth County water temp.

what suit will you guys be wearing on wednesday and thursday in monmouth county? i have a decent 3/2 and a good 5/4. i was a lil nipstick in my 3/2 last week but i know the attached hood on thte 5 will be a pain in the ass.

so will you scummers be in 3/2s or 5 mils? obviously a 4/3 is perfect but my 4/3 suit from last year has been thrown out. let me know ur opinion and what u guys are plannin on wearing

I'm on Long Island and next weekend ill be wearing a 4:3 and maybe booties. I'd recommend the 3:2 with booties since u don't have a 4:3. The 5:4 wouldn't be worth the stiffness

im in south NJ and I will probably still be in the 3/2 and I might put boots on. the storm I feel will make the water temps rise. it will still be around 60 degrees im sure, so its 3/2 weather

does wearing a 4.3 eliminate the need for booties with the 3.2? Because if your body is warm, i think it circulates through the blood and warms the feet

water rarely gets above 60 deg where I surf (CA). I wear a 4/3 year round and only wear booties when it gets down to about 55 or less. At 60, the water may feel freezing at first, but you'll acclimate to it quick. Booties suck - don't wear them unless you absolutely have to.

Booties don't suck. It's a personal thing, so lay off the generalizations. Seems like you're talking above your pay grade, Cali buoy.

    Surfing reefs? Booties don't suck.
Surfing upwelling east coast & wanna stay in over an hour? Booties don't suck.
Surfing urchin territory. gotta work & walk on Monday? Booties don't suck.

    Know waht ah sayin' ?

3/2 and maybe booties will keep you fine pending on your comfort level. Better to be a little too warm than having cold feet and if your extremeties are cold you increase chances of muscle injury and overall chill factor. Of course a 4/3 is the do all suit.

oooh, we are easily offended. I didn't know there were reefs and urchins in New Jersey.
