Just surfed some small lefts in OCMD and I'm thinking for mid January it felt pretty nice. Buoys seem stuck around 45-48 and it felt at least that warm in the lineup. The same old 5 mm leaky boots and gloves that were cold this time last year and the year before and the one before that felt great today.

I'm thinking we may stay over 40 all winter and that seems better than the last few. Just checked buoy 44009 for the previous two years and it was around 40-41 on this date and its reading 48 today.

I was thinking the same last week up in NJ. Definitely warmer than last year, and the air temps have been much warmer so far this winter as well. I'm not complaining! Although, this weather pattern has been slacking in terms of solid swells, we need a good NorEaster to kick winter off right.
