I need a new one ASAP. I had a Fijifilm Finepix XP10 and it worked kind of okay for a year and now it just broke for good. The buttons were peeling off and it was just junk.

Anyone know of any decent ones that I should look into?
    I want it to have:
    HD Video
    About 12 megapixels
    Optical Zoom
    28mm Wide Angel

Other than that, I really don't know much about cameras, I just want something that is going to last me longer than a year or two. (No more than $300...)
    Thanks:)

I've got an Optio W 90. Not bad in good light, but it does have an annoying shutter lag for still pics. Low light levels are somewhat grainy as well. From what I've read, the Olympus is an excellent choice.

I'm a big fan of the Panasonic's. I have one for two years now and had it in the water and in the snow dozens of times with no issues. Takes nice HD video too. I think the current model is the Dmc TS3 which is going on Amazon for about $270. High end of your price range but I think you get what you pay for with cameras.

Love my Olympus Stylus 1030 SW! Shockproof, waterproof,10.1 mP, 3.6x optical, wide zoom. absolutely no problems, great in water and underwater pictures. Remember to immerse the camera in fresh cool water after having it in dirty or saltwater, need to operate the lens cover several times to rinse thoroughly. Latest model is the 8000, roughly $200. These are great, tough, compact cameras!

I looked into this one and I really like it, and I am most likly going to buy it. Is the area with the buttons on it made out of rubber? Because the last one I had the rubber buttons just peeled right off so I don't want to have to worry about that again.

If you have a really nice Phone already, just buy a DryCase. My Droid phone shoots awesome HD video in the Vacuum-sealed case. I've taken it scuba diving 75ft multiple times and never had a leak. Shoots great video for those of us who want to save a few dollars.
