No, we hate the French because they're extremely rude, pretentious, arrogant, lazy and because they all wear speedos. If I'm on a surf trip and I had to choose between surfing and staying around a group of French or Brazilian dudes give me the Brazilian guys everytime. The French are the worst!!!

Friend of mine is a senior photographer for a well known newspaper. He spent time in Guatemala shooting the civil war, quite some time ago, and his sentiments are the same. That stated, I did go on a cruise loaded with Guatemala tourists. They were obnoxiously rude passengers, lacking in basic etiquette.
