I am trying to get on some of these waves tomorrow but will also need to spend some time in the office. Thoughts anyone? Should I wait until tide fills in a little and the wind dies down and/or switches. Or should I just get up early and find a low tide bar and hope for the best?? Man I wish this was easier...not that I mind a challenge...I just dont have time to waste

quit your job, sell everything you have , buy a good travel bag, maybe a couple extra boards, convince your family that the 'gypsy ' lifestyle will be good for all of you and get the hell out of dodge.-ez

Ah yes, because everybody that wasn't born into extravagance and rightfully receives money to feed their children with is spoiled and unappreciative.

And why the hell are you going tomorrow? I guess you must enjoy unorganized, choppy, ****ty waves. Wind doesn't blow west until Tuesday night/Wednesday. God forbid you actually check a wind forecast.

wow. are you ticked that you haven't recieved that refund yet? Hey man I am all for feeding hungry kids with my tax money but is that where that money will end up? hardly. Guess I should address you directly in the future when I mention spoiled and unappreciative people cuz you sure got offended. Anyway, I will check it tommorow because some of us have to take what we can get. I have been watching the wind forecast all day(b/c it's ALWAYS right). I was addressing anyone who might have some positive feedback but thanks for enlightening me with your brilliance. GOD FORBID you keep your trap shut

Yeah, because crack/car/whateverthef*ck dealers are officially accepting stamps these days.

If you have, then why would you even want to surf tomorrow? And maybe you need a more reliable source for wind, if you think you have a better chance of finding a good wind window on a board of random surfers with assorted careers, rather than a website that has a paid staff of experts. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Pawleys+Island&state=SC&site=ILM&textField1=33.3843&textField2=-79.1777&e=0

sometimes in the morning theres that magic 30 minutes to an hour when that wind will die a little . dude, I am 7 minute drive to the beach and I can roll outta bed and see a flag but I can tell you that there are times that dont mean crap. if the swell is strong enough I don't mind some chop...can make it interesting. Ya remember...east coast...its where we live and we cant always be picky. just thought I'd see if any other suckers like me were gonna check it. So relax.....as for the Obama statement I may have been out of line. Let me be clear - the elderly, suffering children, men and woman who have sacrificed for our country all get taken care of. anyone else that can't work like the rest of us or comes here to leach off this country can piss off. Conway - we are considering your request and would like to see your resume

I don't care if the waves are choppy, the wind is wrong or the water is cold... if I get the chance I'm surfing OBAMAself.

Coastal winds are too difficult to predict or be right about all the time- in this 'low country' area even more so. Once the water in long bay warms up- it doesn't matter what else is happening wind wise because it dominates w/ that usual SE blow by 10-11 am daily.
Sat. morn /afternoon was extremely unusual w/ that beauty of an offshore breeze- we generally only see that in winter or after a hurricane/ tropical storm moves through. All we need is a mountain range to pop up behind us and we would be in like flynn. The bottom line is -you must check it regardless of what any weather report is telling you. Swell info gives us a great look at incoming swells, tides and what the wind should be doing- but we still have to put eyeballs on it hourly.

overanalyzing a spring south windswell is doing nothing to answer this post.
winds will be W or WNW early on, swinging more northerly throughout the day, just like last week. east facers will be glassier early on, while more southerly facing shores may have to wait until after lunch for a cleaner wave. but there will be swell regardless, so hit it
