Weak glass?

I agree, granted epoxy make be stronger when referring to its strength to weight ratio as compared to fiberglass; its really comes down to the amount. A 4oz, 6oz, 12oz glass job is really whats determines strength. Usually you can get away with a slightly lower oz. epoxy glass job rather than regular fiberglass for the same strength. Surftech's may last a long time, but why not ride a better quality board?

EPS chatters like hell with any texture on the face of a wave, a little more weight gives you that much more momentum and protection.
