Im using a 5/3 now. I suppose you could go to a 4/3, but I get ice cream headache every time i go under, so I'd wear a hood if I were you.
I'm in a 4/3 right now and its chilly but bearable, and like ozak said I'd def. have to go with a hood.

steep south swell angle wednesday morning...i guess from the S/Sw winds. Swell wasn't making it into some spots but was was solid 3-4 foot in others...
sat morning was alright, i caught a couple, but it was really small and dumping on the beach at tower road.
any one got early predictions for this late week swell movin in? im hopin it moves back to sat. so i can get on it
