    Mr. Swellinfo

I've been reading some reports that the tail end of this front/low pressure may present favorable conditions for a tropical development of the coast of the carolinas on saterday. What are your thoughts on the possibility of that happening? If it does, (correct me if i'm wrong) it could set up some descent ne/ene windswell, then hopefully followed by some offshores.

right now it looks like some moderate sized E/NE wind swell building up sunday into monday. The models aren't showing any major development front this, but its certainly worth keeping any eye on. Sure would be nice to have some size for a change.

Bombogenesis is defined as a mid-latitude cyclone that drops in surface barometric pressure by 24 or more millibars in a 24-hour period.

Thats not going to happen... but it does look like some fun surf :)

Where is the best bet for some descent conditions over the next two or three days? Bethany/Ocean City, VA beach, or along the banks?? The wind forcasts have been changing so much its tough to tell. Any thoughts Swellinfo?

With this current short period wind swell, your going to have to keep an eye on the position of the low since it will be hanging right off the delmarva coast tomorrow afternoon.

Right now its not looking like we wont see a distinct offshore shift, but i would def keep an eye on the winds in the afternoon/eve. I would say conditions will start to get a little cleaner late in the day on Monday.

OC tends to be better on these types of swells than Delaware. There are a number of spots from Delmarva down to the outer banks that will handle the northerly winds better, but I'm not going to name drop on spots and tell people what spot will be best :)

It looks like some fun SE background swells will move in for the middle to end of the week. Nothing spectacular, but looks like there's plenty of opportunity for some water time this week :D
