Yeah Zach, got some fun ones down here, waist to chest with the occasional HH set. It was semi glass / choppy with light onshores, kinda funky with the tide but if you lined one up you got a really fun ride, somewhat challenging to get into position because it was kinda shifty / wonky, but every now and then it would all line up perfectly and give a nice long ride. The wildlife was in full swing with lots of sea weed, I watch a tarpon attack fish for nearly 2hrs straight, plenty of sharks yes, and a manatee (we see them often around here). Overall a decent weekend considering the forecast wasn't very promising. That made the lineup nice and empty for the most part.
Saturday was real nice out at Isle of Palms, waves had nice structure and were fun size. although they did come in kinda out of synch had to wait for some and then sometimes one would build seemingly out of nowhere on top of you. I agree with the former poster above, sometimes hard to find position, got caught once out of position and got trounced good by a rather unusually large one..took a second to shake that off View attachment 12680 View attachment 12681
Sat, had some fun surf in DE with great weather. Only problem was the storm earlier in the week stirred up all kinds of crap. So anytime you got off your board near the shore, it felt like you were putting your feet into a horseshoe crab blender. Talked to a guy out there and he said, earlier in the morning there tons of dead ones up on the beach. It was still fun and not too crowded. Sun, I helped my dad re glass the transom on his boat so he can mount and engine bracket for an out board and get rid of the I/O. Another day of great weather. Good weekend Oh yeah. still trunk'n it!
