Okay. So when I read about the tragedy in Santa Barbara this week, i thought damn.... Sharkhunter finally exposed himself. I thought we would never hear from you again. I thought u made your final stand.

Don't worry bro. Tomorrow when i have 5 minutes I will kick some knowledge to you bro. Offshore in ca is like Christmas. Look at the fuxking forecast!!!????

I'll show you how the jetsream works and everything. Just go to CVS buy a notepad and get ready for school clown.

Please don't shoot any bullies before tomorrow. I'll call MY Savior and we will both let you find Jesus tomorrow.

Stop you tubing. Look at a wind map!!!????

I mean, what's next, the east side of Maui got offshores one day and its no longer the windward side??????

Keep laying down man. If you tried to stand up in CA the offshores would topple you over!!!!! Ha!

Would anyone else with half a brain like to kick some science to the shark hunter??????

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. I'm baffled. Absolutely baffles.

Go crack your moms door open and introduce yourself to Metard. Just wash up after you shake hands. We don't need you and your mom getting pregnant in the same night. That would be weird.

I would call for a paternity test to see if Metard was your dad, but I have far too much respect for him than that. He would have abortrd , but the offshores were cranking so hard he missed it. He

Kind of sick that you're making a sick joke out of that tragedy in santa barbara. Then making incest jokes. Really mature. There's some really sick people on here. Are you really a father? wow.

Again we were talking about clean surfing conditions. Glass is clean as well. Any wind at all that blows off land is an offshore wind.

You sound really butt hurt. lol

I'm wrong. Florida has more clean surf than california. You're right brew..LMAO
It's onshore in CA all the time and ZERO offshore winds.

Sheet glass doesn't mean offshore idiot. It means dead wind. Like i said I will kick knowledge to you tomorrow.

And its not incest. Metard isn't your dad. Its not incest. He is just a guy banging your disgusting mom. I hope he wrapped it up because we don't need another moron walking the earth.

And no, I wouldn't smile in your face before in punched you. I would pretend to lunge at you and you would drop to a fetal position, just like you were for nine months after the metard-shark mothers conception.

I don't dislike you cause you sponge. I dislike you because you are a knowledgless coward.

There are about 3 weeks all year that are offshore on the west coast. Period. Case closed.

If ca is offshore, then buoys are inaccurate worldwide. You have debunked centuries of nautical data. You are quite the pioneer.

Thank you voice of reason. I was thinking I had somehow woke up in the land of nonsense. Thank you for the cold water slap in the face. The last 20 minutes of my life felt like a purgatory of pretending to be a boogie boarding in Rhode island.

I wish a real sponger would just give him a digital cock slap for impersonating an actual waterman, or woman.

Its a shame that guys are out perfecting the craft in which he poses

How hasn't this guy been banned? I mean the fact that he is a jerk aside, he is littering this forum with nonsense. It's embarrassing.

To Zach and anyone else who cares, I'm with you. This site is spot on most of the time. Atleast for the swell. Winds it's on and off for me. But that's ok because I can just step outside to see what the winds doing. Obviously there are factors, tide most importantly for me, to take into consideration. Knowing your local spot/spots is what it all comes down to. I have a high and low tide spot like some one else said. Knowing those spots plus this site is all I need to get an accurate idea of what the waves should be like

Since Iv found this site about 3 years ago, my time in the water has deffinitly increased. I never miss a day and I score on plenty of other days when everyone else stays home because every other forecast says flat.

Weather patterns (dominant winds included) tend to differ between northern and southern california. As far as i know so cal only gets straight offshores when the santa anas are blowing. Which i beleived is caused from the warm desert air pushing out the sea breeze. Also tends to align itself with fire season and well we all hear about the so cal wild fires.
Nor cal however tends to be much cooler on average and the fog rolls in, causing the sea breaze (onshore) blowing in the fog. However once that settles it tends to be dead calm and glassy, although eerie as can be. You literally cant see 10ft in front of you sometimes. It tends to only get true offshores during the summer when the inland valleys heat up to over 100. Sideshores hapen most often. But when the wind is blowing in nor cal you generally arent surfing, unless its the warm offshores (unusual), or you know the spots where you can find shelter.

Thats what makes the coastline of california look like its offshore and glassy all the time to everybody else. It has a bunch of little nooks and crannies you can get some protection, if you put the time in and study the conditions.

And in regards to ocean beach being offshore, i bet that vid was taken around november-ish. I didnt watch them cause ive seen ob with my own eyes enough to know what it looks like offshores and pumping.

I lived in the other ocean beach. The real one :) offshores almost only come between November and Feb and in those months its still rare.

    OB SD not OB SF....

Everyone should watch Sean mgaffs video last month with the surprise offshore in orange county where he documents the rare spring offshores. In 10 years in socal I can count on one hand how many offshore spring or summer days I have seen. Ever.

hooo brah i wouldnt go up to OB, San Francisco and say that kinda sh!t!! hahahahah!! Just like Santa Cruz claims the tittle Surf City, over Huntington. North vs South, the battle rages everywhere!

But it sounds about right to the winters up north. Oct-Nov are by far the best weather days of the year tho.

    Your welcome sharky...
    http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/earth/oceanography/question623.htm

See the science of prevailing winds on the west coast. Don't take my word for it. Take the farmers almanac and the scientists.

Ohh and break out your pencil and take notes on why the swell fetches increase rather than decay. Debunking your genius theory about you buoy 30,miles away being inaccurate.

    Idiot.

first step is realizing that the only thing that concerns you is waves that are headed in your direction.
add to that local wind conditions and you're on your way.

What I can't stand more then anything is when stupid people who are to stupid to realize there stupid, then call other people stupid. I mean obviously his crap attitude/personality, his stupidity, and the fact that he body boards are all reasons to dislike this guy. Has anyone else ever noticed this stuff? Check out the thread he started that got locked and never had any point to begin with. rcarter quotes/responds to Wayne, this idiot goes on to respond to rcarter TWICE...even though Wayne was quoted making it obvious that he was who rcarter was talking to. But we are all stupid. Yet earlier in that same thread he tells someone "any 5th grader could figure that out" about some nonsense he posted. Well any 5th grader could figure out a post isn't directed at them when the person the post is directed towards was quoted.

It's this behavior that has me befuddled. This guy is obviously only here to argue, even when people ain't talking to him. Isn't that what all the change a few months ago was about? Filtering all the trash off this forum? Well this guy posts more garbage then anyone. SJB gets banned but this guy gets to stay? I can't wrap my brain around that one. At first it was ALMOST entertaining. ALMOST. Now it's just sad and makes this awesome site/forum look like a joke. A logical debate is one thing, arguing for the sake of arguing is completely diffrent and does nothing but clutter this forum up with absolute filth. I'm surprised with Mr. Swell info, if I ran this site and some jerk made a mockery of it, I'd take that personally. Especially just months after going through changes and bans. I got an infraction for telling someone who originally sings a song that was covered, then this guy does this crap and what? He gets an infraction or two if that? Talk about inconsistency. Atleast the forecast dosn't suffer from the same inconsistency. I just don't get how this crap is ok but people who actually contributed something to this forum got banned. This isn't a personal attack on you Mr. Swell info, I say this only because I do truly appreciate this site and your work. But this guy is making you and your site look straight up foolish.

This is true, never show up with the wrong equipment and you won't be disappointed, learned that the hard way when I was younger and thought only short boards were the only way to go.

A 2 paragraph tirade of trolling to talk about MY trolling. lol. Love the irony. Why don't you look at the forum history and see how many threads of mine were hijacked. Oh and you're so dumb you don't even realize that you're dissing the exact type of wave riding the owner of swellinfo does dumbass - bodyboarding. People like you ruin the form. Douche bags attract other douche bags unfortunately. People with the same mentality tend to herd together. Banning you would be a good idea.

You're such a complete idiot. That article says nothing about California not having offshore winds at the beach and winds always being onshore. It talks about groundswells being genereated from far away from prevailing winds(ie low pressure systems) sitting WAY OUT in the pacific and a lack of shelf to eat away at the swell. Of course according to you, wave height doesn't decrease over distance in short period swells we get on east coast, right? Buoy way offshore is exact same height everytime regardless of local winds? Just look at the buoy and you can't fail. No need to look at cams.

Of course wave height increases when it's BUILDING/(in the wind fetch)...it's once waves leave the area of generation(fetch) and travel away many times running into offshore winds on ec that wave height decreases over distance. I specifically stated that last argument we had. God you don't even know how to read.

    Idiot.
