San Diego, holding it down on this huge west swell....

    Nice photos:

The last one of sunset cliffs is epic... Looks freaking perfect all over.

I like frame 28, "un-named san diego reef (yes, they still do exsist)... Well I can name both of them they show... bastards.... Just because no one is out, doesnt mean its secret. Its just way better a mile north.... There are empty reefs all over socal when it fires like that. Guys just want to go to the spots that are looking perfect and wait their turn. I cant tell you how many times me and my friends would get our pick of the litter because "somewhere else looked bigger and better". I will take semi epic and empty all day

Frame 33 has to be nearly 30 feet. I thought the forecast was calling for calling for "only" double overhead.

Frame 1 is absolutely sick. Can't tell how big since it's empty. Looks 20 foot plus
Frame 5 is pushing 20 feet and BARRELING.

Sick...someone send me a plane ticket please.(not that I could handle 30 foot waves anyway with current experience lol)

Notice in the HUGE pics there was almost no one out or some cases not a soul in the water. I think the intimidation factor was in play.

Man...blacks in frame 16 is making me drool. Just a perfect wave. Amazing how well these breaks are holding this swell. No close outs. Big ass barrels.

HUNDREDS of miles of coast in southern CA. Plenty of place to play solo.

"It was pure power," Timmy Reyes said of his South Bay session on Sunday. "Every bit of Puerto Escondido-style waves. Heavy beachbreak. Lots of current. I caught a dozen waves and made four."

This swell was super close, the XXL part was lasted about as long as an East Coast swell. However, the forecast looks decent for the next week or so.

yes we are all jelous of the west coast now.those waves alex gray got were incredible.i couldn't imagine one day jersey is dishing out 20 foot barrels that look like Puerto.

I believe this was the same swell that was at jaws were everyone including shane dorian nearly died.damo hobgood was out at jaws too,and being a big damo fan I love seeing him off tour chasing big waves.

also that article with the cali photos from the heli are aawesome.cali looks so beautiful,i might just have to move there instead of oz

Yeah, George was responsible for half of the decent photos that I ever got of myself on good swells. Him and Joe Ewing are always on it, getting the best shots. They arent prohoes either. Anyone out there charging and getting good waves ends up in their galleries. Good dude. He was all over OB and the Cliffs back in the day

3 and 25 look perfect. Not as big as some of the other pictures but so damn clean. Then I saw 33 and threw up
