Going on a trip. Gonna bring my wetsuit. Was told not to fold it up. Just wondering how long I can leave it in a bag without getting bad creases. Surely it should be good for four or five hours. Appreciate any feedback.

If you are taking a board bag, lay it flat between the boards. Put a towel in there so the zipper doesn't compression ding the board. If you are using a duffel, just roll it up. Bring a clean trash bag to stuff it in if it's wet for the ride home.

If flying, you might want your wetsuit duffel to be a carry-on item. Don't want the baggage apes to lose it. You can always rent a board wherever you go, but I wouldn't want to rent a suit that a stranger has peed in.

The big deal about folding a suit really pertains to those with the rubber looking chest plate on the front. You arent supposed to fold the chest area. If you have a newer suit like a 100% stretch it most likely doesnt have a chest plate so it not a big deal to fold it. Suits are shipped all over the world folded for days.

fold it for a day - no biggy. Fold it for a month, and you might have some permanent creases and wear the rubber along the creases.

just lay it flat on the floor, place a towel ontop of it and then just roll it up

I made this hanger out of 1/2" pvc. Works great and leaves no creases in the suit, hell its hung for over a month until this past Sunday. I just fold the rest up and pack it up and good to go.
