Wet suit question

  1. Pricing

i have an excel 5/4 with hood. it is a really good suit and has lasted me 4 seasons so far, which is my longest lasting winter suit. i use 7mm gloves and boots too. i usually go through 2 pairs of gloves a season though.

The 5/4 with the detachable hood seems just as good. 2 of my friends have them, the batwing from ripcurl i believe. they dont have complaints.

As for a late spring suit, I am still in my 5/4 in may. Then I go right my 3/2 with gloves/boots in mid-late may on average.

Thanks for the advice- Do you have any idea at all how much $ those excel suits run?

I cant quite remember...maybe 250-350. I do know that if you look around you will find them on sale because the season has already started. most shops will give you 10-40% off of winter suits because they are trying to get rid of them as spring/summer approach..you may have to wait till feb for the discounts.

  3. Wetsuit prices

Well, we did get a "great deal" price for our wetsuits online- BUT now I've learned the hard way that if the suit don't fit, you have to live with it. I need to try a suit on at a shop next go around!

Yea, I would not order online unless I knew that particular suit was the right fit.
