I like back zips...they just work for me.

Then again, I live in FL so my opinion on westuites probably doesn't count.

Chest zips are made to a higher quality iny experience.

Last longer. More comfortable. Easier to dry.

    The whole deal.

For the time your going to spend in it find a way to get a chest zip. Price difference shouldn't be too much.

Plenty of good quality back zips are still out there. But yea, back zips are mostly relegated to the low end suits these days.

I don't mind a little flush when the water is "warmer", so I have a backzip 3/2 and a 3/4 backzip 4/3 O'Neill with a longer sealed neck that does the trick down to 52-54 degrees.

For the cold stuff, sporting a 5/4 front zip Xcel Drylock. Have a tough time getting in and out of front zips because I'm so swole.

Rip Curl Chest Zip 3/2s are $199 on Dog Funk. E4 rubber + chest zip = better than those suites for a few bucks more.

    If your talking about wetsuite:

I had the quicksilver synchro 3/2- didn't like it. It wasn't sealed- the seams. But the website says it's sealed so idk. I do like the quicksilver cypher- had a 4/3 and loved it.

As far as the 3/2 - I got a ripcurl back zip- a cheap one called dawn patrol. It's sealed and fits good. I got it off seshday.com or maybe whiskey militia. For like 90 bucks.

Btw I like back zip for a 3/2... Call me old school or what ever but for a 3/2 when warmth is not a major factor- I don't notice a difference and it's easier to change out of along the side of the road. So that's why I cheap out on a 3/2 and save my bucks for a good 4/3 and 5/4(or6)

It said on the website that it's sealed. Mine wasn't (a few years ago) and that was my biggest complaint. Water just flowing through the suit , just like the old days

I am the same way. I would rather spend more on the more important rubber!

But just look at the gash in the middle of her chest that that front zipper gave her. That can't be comfortable.
