What's up guys, looking at picking up a Matuse 5/4/3 or 4/3/2. I was just wondering which would be suited for OCMD and how far each would take me into winter.

the 5/4/3 would be ideal for the winter, probably withstanding temps in the 40s if im not mistaken. You could take the 4/3/2 in the winter but if cold water isn't your thing then you'd be best off with the 5/4, and using the 4/3 during the fall and the spring.

Matuse 5/4/3 will get you through the winter in OCMD comfortably.

With good hood boots and gloves the 4/3/2 will be fine except late jan, feb and early march when you could still surf in it, but may get cold after a while.

With that said...everyones different so i ;m just basing it on my experience. Matuse's are insane warm wetsuits..ive got one.

Sounds good, I generally run way hotter than all of my friends. Matuse has a 2008 5/4/3 for 311 in my size, if I was to get a 4/3/2 I would have to pay retail price... do you think I should just go for the 2008 or get the new updated version?

I always get last years model. So much cheaper and the design usually hasnt changed that much. Go warm. always better to be too warm than risk damage from the cold. though if you want one suit that will get you everywhere the 4/3 will work just have the warmest accessories and wear a heater vest underneath.

Definitely get the 5/4/3. You'll be glad you did come February. I find the older I get the more rubber i need. I used to rock a 4/3 all winter, but im definitely over coming out of the water like an icicle with toes and fingers white not being able to use my hands to pull off the suit.

def at that price for OCMD go with the 5 mm.

as far as size goes, Matuses run small.

i'm 5 9" 160 and my size large matuse fits perfect. Most other wetsuit brands i'm a medium or medium-large
