There was a whale in Assawoman Bay behind the marsh so west of the Green Turtle yesterday. The DNR Policed were guarding it from boat traffic. It appeared the the animal was swimming and being blown onto the shallows. It was gone this moring. I couldn't find any mention of it on any news. Has anywone heard about this. Really cool to see one up close. I assume that it made it out at high tide.
was it a juvenile? could you tell what kind it was? it's not very deep in that bay,i think it'd have to be small.....
