    You can.

If something that big pops up next to me in the water, I'm playing f***in possum.

Anytime! The way it was worded struck me as funny...see, kpd thinks so too:cool:

Just watched...I don't know if I'd ever voluntarily get that close to an animal that size, personally...but, I don't think those dudes were harassing the whale, which to me seemed to be interested in the interaction.

As an aside, what on Earth was that yellow board, thing looked like it was 4" thick w/ square rails.

Yeah, I agree. It may seem the whale is in a playful mood, but one swoosh of the tale and night night for me. A nice 20 to 30 foot safe zone would be good, I don't need to ride the damn thing. Now, don't get me wrong, I would love to snorkel with and possibly touch a whale shark. I saw a place down near Cancun where you can do it. (not sure if touching is legal)

Zeroevol you can bet your a$$ touching costs more! Just ask your neighborhood street walker!

Whales are big. Anything that big pops up to me and im gettin nervous. I've had whales get within 30 yards of me while surfing and i dont like it.

Although the humpbacks come every year like clockwork out here and i've always wanted to paddle out there closer to them, they put on quite the show. But when they are jumping they arent really paying attention to where they land so thats a little sketch.
