Take it from me don't skip finals. There will be other days of great surf once you have school behind you. If you choose to live like me you will get all the waves you want now and will struggle to get it together in your mid 40's. Thankfully I was lucky enough to surf all I wanted and worked a profession that lets me surf every swell even now. From what I see of my middle aged friends my situation is very, very rare.

I spent 7 years in Baltimore!! I was getting a graduate degree and some serious experience. Now I am back in Jerz. Tomorrow I'll be taking one of my 20+ paid days off a year to get some swell. Life is all about choices my friend.

what are you doing there? Getting an education. Be grateful that your biggest problem in life is that you cant catch a swell.

I chose to go to college inland last year. Bad choice.

I had a great time but found myself checking the surf report no less then if i lived at home, maybe even more. I remember being wasted as hell calling the wave buoy, thinking of the boys at home.

I'm taking this year off to travel and next year its back to school. On the coast 100%.

    Ya, agreed.

Every one of us who went to school inland goes through the same thing, sorry to be away from the waves when then are pumping.... BUT, you'll get over it easy enough, I've been there.

I'm at bloomsburg, just 45min east of psu off rt. 80. it sucks. Not just because its in the middle of nowhere but its just not for me. i went to psu for the temple psu game, it was awesome. But, im going to uncw next fall so im stoked, and no it's not JUST because its on the coast. For now im getting my credits and just waiting and wishing for May where i'm going to be wondering around socal for a few weeks.

dude be greatful that you get breaks from school . I work 60 hours on the average each week and when I am not doing that I have 3 kids I have to get on the bus in the moring and take care of before I go to work. If its really good I can get my mom to come by in the morning cause she knows that you have to get it when its good .
