I don't surf either 1st st. or Croatan what a fluster cluck that is... Even with that said, It is not competitive. Considering the guys riding the logs and SUP's really don't have to try too hard to pick up all the set waves and the short boarders on the inside are all dropping in on each other without giving any fvcks

I do croatan after skoo starts, if a swell would ever come. There's ne'er do wells that comb the parking lot and I get nervous leaving my office unattended.

NSB at the Inlet has the most talent and crowds during summer and fall.
    1st peak Sebastian close second.
Juno Pier during winter north swells is a total zoo and has lots of talent.
Stuart Rocks - good luck getting a wave if you're not one of them
Lake Worth Pier - south side- yo yo!

Oh, there's also Pumphouse....don't even think about it! Especially you, Sandblasters, don't be bringing your SUP out there on a big north swell, unless you want to be on kookslams.

See a few New Jersey responses but none mentioned the North End of Ocean City. Its one of the most competitive places I've ever surfed. Surfed Trestles for a week last fall and found it tame by comparison. Nothing like a bunch of a-holes from pennsyltucky and cheery heel hassling over weak garbage.

Agree...on some recent trips, Swamis, Trestles, and Windansea at fun chest high size were less competitive and aggravating than the 2-3 most clogged/competitive Delmarva lineups. Ive seen the spot your talking about at the north end of OCNJ....wow!

Agreed. I mad mention of that sh!t show in another thread on Monday. Every jetty from 7th street to Waverly was packed full of the worst kind of douchebaggery and clusterf@ckery than you could possibly fathom. All before 9 AM to boot.

which was worse? the DB or the CF? Now that the "renourishment" is closing in on 60th, i am afraid that i will have to drive to the north end. i just got used to bouncing my board off heads in the past.

I guess it was a CF caused by an over abundance of DB
I'm hoping they don't replenish on the other side of the rocks down there. I don't think I'll be heading to the North end until dead Winter.

5 spots that I would not surf
-jenks....my bank account doesn't contain 6 figures, therefore I am not allowed.those rich kids are pretty gangster so....
-bayhead..basically the exact same scenario as jenks.the poor don't belong near the wealthy
spring lake-basically the same exact thing as Belmar, but Belmar is actually cool,sl is idk lol,u got everything from groms,to seniors,to Mexicans and everything in between.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
now people say Manasquan.i actually caught very good swells in the am there with nobody out.nobody...this is winter time tho.same thing with Belmar,iv caught that all alone in January.

I feel like iv been revirginized with this epic flat spell.i don't even know what a jersey wave looks like anymore, its quite depressing, its nothing new but usually by this time we had 3 decent tropical storms

BTW, has anyone seen how the waves have been affected in the 30s and 40s where they've finished?

I live right in the heart of that mess. It all went to hell with the advent of surf cams and cell phones. Inland surfers are lazy and they go where the surf cams are. Unfortunately there are at least a dozen surf cams within a few blocks north and south of my street. Very frustrating for someone who's been around long enough to remember how much less crowded things were 20 years ago. Now it will be mobbed even when its 20* outside. Don't think you'd find 30 guys packed into a ****ty chest high beach break in San Diego if it was 20* outside.

Yep. I remember when 6 guys at an OC jetty in the Winter was considered crowded. In Sea Isle, where I grew up, it was always just me and couple other guys in the Winter. I've learned to adjust to the crowds in recent years, it's easier off season, but the replenishment is going to cause it to get worse until we get some storms to move some of that sand.
