I hate my job... I am retiring from teaching in one month and eight days. I've watched the education system in a death spiral for the past 6 years.

I saw them around the same time.

I often forget that I saw them. My best friend, who is a 5 years younger than me (who must have been 11-12 years old at that time) reminded me that we saw them back in the late 80's. Me, him and his older brother, who was my then-best friend but is no longer living. They were a little bit different from what we were listening to back then and they were from Boston. We weren't supposed to like anything from Boston back then. Not even bands like Slapshot that sounded like the bands we listened to from New York, West Coast and DC.:p

I saw this band in Brooklyn a few weeks back with my daughter who introduced me to their music. I'm really liking their sound.
    Check them out.

Good one, C-Dog... Here's one I like to crank up when doing resin swirls. Imagine... just as those fist notes are being played, mixing colors into a bucket... then turning around and pouring out in wild, thin streams... dancing around the board... just grooving and slinging resin...colors splashing and sloshing... mixing into an acid dream...

Have had a 19 yr old, soon leaving for boot camp, working for me the past week...have been working him like a dog in preparation for it. Was telling him just yesterday how music was an entirely different experience, much better, prior to the advent of videos and the net. Told him interpretations were more personal, not pre-programed with images and printed words, causing all to more carefully listen to each note and word. As you mentioned, I explained people frequently heard something entirely different than what was actually being relayed, producing a more creative process between the listener and artists.
