Talking Heads Once In A lifetime:

I had always thought the line was actually "Time isn't holding up, time is an asterisk, same as it ever was, same as it ever was. It's "Time isn't after us."
I like "time is an asterisk" mo betta...

^^^ I had a roommate in college who saw my record collection and came across a Ramones LP... "I LOVE the Ramones! '20-20-20-4 hours agooooo... I wanna piece'a danish!" I ended up "dating" his girlfriend.

    Lol!

Some of these are frickin ridiculous. ''Amstel Light!'' for Enter Sandman. ''Jeremy's voting for president!'' for Jeremy by Pearl Jam. I remember Africa by Toto when I was a kid and I always thought he was saying ''I miss the rains down in Africa''. I didn't find out it was I bless the rains'' until the song was like 30 years old.

One of my favorite mishearings is from Take Warning by Operation Ivy, who we've discussed in the punk thread. My friends and I always thought Take Warning sounds like he's really saying ''TAKE ONE HIT! TAKE ONE HIT! TAKE ONE HIT!'' haha.

I'm glad it's so easy to embed videos on this new format of the forum. I never knew how to do it on the old one.

todays music sucks,im listening to alice in chains at the moment, which is my favorite band, and even tho iv heard every song a billion times I still love them.

a way I like to think about yesterdays music vs todays music is u put on a rock station and u hear like led zeppelin or something,a song that was made 20-30 years ago, people are still digging it.idk is kendrik lamarr going to still be big 30 years from now

Alice In Chains was cool around Facelift and Dirt. Didn't really dig their tail-end stuff. Not even sure if I've ever heard their post-Layne Staley stuff. Don't have any interest to.

Fuck Stone Temple Pilots, though. By the way, can we drop F-bombs on here? It's not filtered or asterisked out on here, like it was the old boards.

Stone Temple Pilots (Minus Scott Weiland, who I did not meet) are a bunch of tools. Got a real dooshy story involving the De Leo brothers and that dooshy drummer of theirs. They're also a joke now, on their third singer. Does anybody even give a damn about STP without Weiland, anyway?
