Ears are still ringing from the Sea.Hear.Now festival. Tons of bands... tons of people. The best???

    Wrecks
    Struts
    Steel Pulse
    Dropkick Murphys

    Probably in that order...

    Then...

    D Frankenreiter
    Bad Religion
    Cat Power

My prediction... the Wrecks are gonna get big, fast. Don't even have an album out yet, but it's gonna be good. We'll see if they stand the test of time, though.

Sit back picture yourself swooping up a shell of purple with foam crests of crystal drops soft nigh they fall unto the sea of morning creep-very-softly mist...and then sort of cascade tinkley-bell like (must I take you by the hand, every so slowly type) and then conglomerate suddenly into a peal of silver vibrant uncomprehendingly, blood singingly, joyously resoundingbells....By my faith if this be insanity, then for the love of God permit me to remain insane.

I think he wrote that. He was a lab rat with Ken Kesey for the CIA. Taking all sorts of hallucinogenic drugs.

Dude isn't that tune fantastic? I never stumbled on it until a year or so ago. Amazing how much stuff is out there. The story about the writing of China Cat is a good one...full of very psychedelic imagery like the quote above.

Forever Grateful for real. RIP Mr Hunter.

Heard this guy recently on a local radio jazz show somewhere around the George Washington Bridge at around 5 AM. Remembered the name and have been listening to all his stuff. Can't get enough of it.
