Listened to this DMB show yesterday.

 

Good tune. It would sound good on a surf video

 

I was there last year. Snoop dog was there!!!

 

Swans put out a new album last year, I just found out.
This is their 15th album. The first couple were as dark, angry and ugly as anything I'd heard, they influenced a lot of early death metal, then they got slightly more melodic and sounded like dark, angry industrial, lot heavier than NIN or Ministry. But the sound kept changing and the albums got deeper and deeper. Not always easy listening, Swans in my book are one of the best bands ever. You cannot classify them in any genre. Gira is a genius.

 

I remember when "The Burning World" came out in the late 80's I gave it a LOT of play. Never got into the band, or even that genre really, but that record blew me away. His voice is pretty intense.
