I just reviewed this thread for a bit, and you know what......ALL OF YOU have sucky taste in music. In fact, none of you appears to even know what "music" is. You all choose NOISE. But...that is okay, simply because I have said before--you are ALL assholes. So am I. But at least I know what music is. You all do not!!
Now go kill yourselves, please--the Earth would be better off.....

A genius! What a sad song. It's about a brilliant musician that change music as it was known. Only to be seduced by a succubus into believing his success was singular in action. Brought a tear to my eye.

    and blood from my ears.

Yoko Ono is a genius. Her standing on a ladder and screaming is artistic genius.

I think they call it performance art or something like that.

She is one of the things that makes me really wonder aboot John Lennon and heroin.

Last summer I went to Spain and Portugal, and when I was there I spend a day in Bilbao, where I saw Yoko Ono's art exhibit at the Guggenheim... that's where I first saw that video... it was looping in a little room you could sit in and watch. A lot of her stuff is just weird... like a woman's naked body made of marble, that featured a bowl of water and a sign that encourages you to dip your fingers and fondle the sculpture with wet hands. Some of the other stuff is really interesting... see if you can google some images of her work, and you'll see what I'm talking aboot... if you're into that kind of stuff...

For Dad, 85, and now in a nursing home. Taught me how to drive our boat and the car.

If there is such a thing as "garage rock" in 2015, these kids might be carrying the torch. I dig their simplicity... low fi sound, simple song structure, catchy riffs and lyrics... The vocals remind me of David Johansen... or even kind of Mick Jaggeresque.

Reminiscing here. I vaguely recall singing this song during a night of drinking in the late 70s while in college. Feel free to sing along.

Good cover of a Tom Waits song. I like it better than the original. TW can be hit or miss, but when he's on I think the lyrics are great.

"With my old's 88 and the devil on a leash."

    "Goin' Out West"

    Well I'm goin' out west
    Where the wind blows tall
    'Cause Tony Franciosa
    Used to date my ma
They got some money out there
    They're giving it away
I'm gonna do what I want
    Do what I want
    And I'm gonna get paid

    Little brown sausages
    Lying in the sand
    I ain't no extra baby
    I'm a leading man
    Well my parole officer
    Will be proud of me
    With my Olds 88
And the devil on a leash
    My Olds 88
And the devil on a leash

Well I know karate, Voodoo too
I'm gonna make myself available to you
I don't need no make up
    I got real scars
I got hair on my chest
I look good without a shirt

Well I don't lose my composure
    In a high speed chase
Well my friends think I'm ugly
    I got a masculine face
    I got some dragstrip courage
I can really drive a bed
    I'm gonna change my name
    To Hannibal or maybe
    Just Rex
    Change my name to Hannibal
    Or maybe just Rex

    I'm gonna drive all night
    Take some speed
I'm gonna wait for the sun
    To shine down on me
I cut a hole in my roof
In the shape of a heart

    And I'm goin' out west
    Where they'll appreciate me
    Goin' out west
    Goin' out west

    Thanks. Enjoyed the song.
The car pictured looks like the 67 Merc Cougar I drove in college.
