Where do you live? It was blowing over 40 kts Tuesday night on the coast. Unique storm though, rain broke NY state record, over 13 inches which is just unheard of.

Yesterday's waves were caused when NJShredmachine threw a barbell with 500lbs on it across the beach. He was deadlifting.... it happens.

Yea, definitely not your average summer frontal system. More typical of Fall or Spring. Odd, but I'll take it.

I'm from Lindenhurst which is one of the worst towns that got hit. Thankfully I'm north of all the flooding that we got. The two intersections by my house, Sunrise Hwy and 109, was a wreck. Luckily I had work at 11 so when I left the flooding had receded, but there were so many abandoned cars all around. My buddy lived closer to the water and he had water up to his car windows.

I hope this flooding makes people think again about lifting their houses if they live close to the water. I just read in the news that NY state is sponsoring another program to help people fund it. rough ****!
