I don't see why not. The press is the easy part. You could mix something like almond flour, salt, eggs, honey etc. Roll into a ball of dough and press. Just make sure to put the dough between two sheets of wax paper or sandwich baggy to keep the dough from sticking to the press.
Oh yea, the key to making homemade tortillas is warming up the pan for about 10mins before starting to make tortillas. I put mine on medium to medium-high.
Today, July 4th, will be strictly American fare.....hamburgers and hot dogs. Maybe an apple pie for dessert. Poor archy, he is confined to his tofu prison......no way he is a republican with his diet--NO WAY!!!
The backyard grill's been getting put to good use this 4th of July "weekend". Today though, it's just dogs, burgers, and corn on the cob. I prefer charcoal, but many are proponents of propane.
Chicken and shrimp skewers going on the grill later. Mushrooms, onions. Tomatos, red peppers and yellow squash all from my garden. lots of middle eastern spices. DFH Sea Quench for beverage.
Nice! Didn't did as much grilling as i originally planned today. Basically just drank beer and passed out for a few hours. Was surfed out this morning. Dinner was just some swordfish. Zucchini, green beans, tomato, almonds, and some parmesan cheese, tossed in some pesto and lemon. Throw some pesto on the fish. Pretty good stuff. Paired it with a nice spicy margarita. Habenero infused tequila with home grown peppers. Now I'm ready for another nap Happy 4th everybody

Anyone ever try plated or something similar? Me and the fiancee have been trying it out for the past 2 or 3 weeks. It's alright. Honestly, she's a sick cook..... and i feel she could make this stuff, but better. But she got tired of coming up with meal ideas and all that so were trying it out. Tonight's dinner is coming now. Fish po boys. Breaded the fish and frying that up now, lettuce, pickles, and hot sauce. Then as the side its zucchini chips. Sliced it up and baked it with olive oil, salt and pepper. Looks good so far. We will see. Probably going to talk her into ditching the plated thing and just steal there meal ideas, but with our own twist and ingredients. The ingredients they send us are a little questionable if you ask me. Although according to there website everything is supposedly all natural....."when possible"
The main thing wrong with the whole concept... My daughter is 14. She understands (more than my wife or boys) the art of picking out the best veg/fruit/fish/herbs... and taking it from there. Selection can be a make or break... and I don't want to hand that over to somebody who's making money off of whatever they put in the box.
