Haterade alert!!!! For such a horrid state, people hate on Jersey quite a bit. Chew on this one...

"New Jersey is to the United States, what the United States is to the rest of the world, everyone hates us, cause we're the ****."

you have clearly missed my point entirely. but again, you're claiming something of which you know not. ever been to jersey on a big, solid hurricane swell? no? then how do you know that it can't handle the size? each stretch of coast is different. the bottom is not a uniform shape & the degree of slope changes drastically from barrier island to barrier island. looking at a map on google earth doesn't show that.

as for my calling you out on spot naming, it doesn't matter if it's a well-known break or a secret shared by you & your buddies. naming spots on the internet is bad form. i'm sure there's some kook out there lurking that has never heard of r*****s. now he has & he'll show up there on the very next good swell. not to mention the fact that it's disrespectful of the locals who surf those spots every day.

calling out jersey shows that you've never been here & have no knowledge or understanding of the place. your willful ignorance brands you a KOOK, whatever you may think.

Well there is still no reason for name calling. Your very immature. You called me an idiot just because you disagreed with me. THAT'S "bad form" Maybe your right about spot naming. I just figured everyone knew about it. I'll go back and edit it out. Now just edit your posts where you reference the spot in my quotations.

you call it immaturity, i say it's calling it as i see it. you strike me as very kook-like. don't like it? oh well. i'm not the one who came on here spouting claims about how a section of the coast can't handle real size & shouldn't be praying for hurricane surf (you did, which in my estimation is idiotic behavior...hence, i called you an idiot). i've never been to new england to surf, so i'm not making claims about what i haven't experienced first-hand. i can only base my assumptions on what i've seen in mags & videos. it looks like it gets good & there's a lot of potential. but i surf jersey basically every day, ranging from seaside down to cape may & have seen & surfed such a wide array of waves, sizes, & spots in my nearly 20 years of surfing & know of more than a few spots that will hold waves in the 15-20ft range. like any spot, the quality depends on the swell angle & wind direction.

man, I don't even understand how you could believe the garbage you wrote, are u kidding me?! ...no spot around here can hold long period swell, hurricane swell...I don't know where your surfing, but I've been in the right spot for just about every storm and it was in your so called ****-zone and actually way better than Jersey, I watched footage from Bill and Ernesto of Jersey and my spot was way f'n bigger and cleaner..but on the same token, I've surfed some spots in Jersey on some big days and it was ****in awesome....first the sharks, now this bs...where does it end mikeb?

Yes. I was totally wrong. Sharks are safe to swim with. Why don't you go surfing off of seal Island in South Africa...I hear it's way better than Jersey! Yes I know hard to believe. Tell me how that works out for ya pal! Actually I remember Ernesto. I was at your spot pal! I remember the shaking of the porto potty in the parking lot and the moaning. I think saw your buttbuddy njsurfer and you walk in there together. Not sure what was going on ;) haha

i certainly know more than many. that may seem arrogant to you, but 20 years of surfing & living in & around the ocean will tend to teach you some stuff.

as for being aggressive, no...not really. i will, however, defend my home against unwarrented & unprovoked attacks. if you recall, YOU were the one who came on here spouting nonsense you were basically making up. & b/c i called you on it, you got pissy. this thread has been pretty amusing to me, honestly. have fun w/ your eski lid!

hopefully, now that it's gotten completely off-topic, one of the mods will lock it & let it die.

that comment about needles, and what not in the jersey waters was uneducated, and plain ridiculous. i been going to the beaches my whole life in jersey, and the only times i seen needles anywhere on the beach was 87, and maybe 88, and 89. NEVER before that, and well actually i may have seen some in atlantic city since, but thats it. everyone loves to play the syringe card with the jersey waters. that s h i t s been done, and over with,

And the needles and medical waste those 1-2 years in the 80s were from NYC and Staten Island. None of that stemmed from Jersey.

    hahahaha

I'm just gonna ask one question and one question only....

Really? Really guys? I mean, this thread is hysterical, but I think giving the whole thing a rest will probably benefit the cardiac health of all involved. ;)
