real or fake....there has been many arguements!!!!!!! my friends and i were trying to decide so we decided to post it on swellinfo and see what u guys think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR_naKxLEPc
they bust everything on that damn show its ****in stupid. and yeah noone really paddles that retarded and slow so that was a real ****ty simulation on that stupid asians part.
you need deeper water... would be a better test if the blew up the dynamite in a large lake that had some depth.
There is one major factor that everyone seems to be missing here... In the original video the guy throws the dynamite from the waters end (the rock wall?), no longer than 50 yards from where the explosion occurs. On the show that tries to prove it wrong, but there is nothing behind the explosion to send the water rushing backwards back forward (looked liked it was a river or something). It seems to me that would have alot to do with the wave? I think the original was for real, especially due to the difference in locations and conditions. Why didn't they go to the same spot and see???
Another thing the mythbusters missed is that the lake has changing depths. the power in the lake just kept goin over the differences in depth and ran out of power. The lake in the video has got to have a more stable bottom.
It's amazing how much time people have... good scheme, but c'mon, our whole thing is based on the complete opposite of this kind of thing. Screw quicksilver, they are freakin SELLOUTS!. I actually believed this crap, and after more thought, who cares anyway. It's funny how quicksilver is doing stupid **** like this but ripcurl is doing what they're doing with wetsuit technology... Quiksilver may have the money, but they ain't got the honey. I hope everyone keeps this in mind when they buy gear, I tried quiksilver, but thier gear was crap then, and I'm sure it still is. BE HERE NOW. The news screws with enough people, most of us are on a higher level... don't bring us down.
you actually think -- if this was real -- that they got away with throwing dynamite in a lake in a busy city? You're delusional Anyway, if you look at the explosion closely you can tell its an effect, the consistency of the water is too perfect, and shapely. And as the rush of water spray comes at the camera they basically add in a overlaying video mask to the background of the city.. Yea its a real wave - but its not filmed in the middle of a city.
