Got a pair of R4 Patagonia boots last month when I thought I had lost my Xcel Drylocks. (I then found the Xcels so I have both.) Patagonia boots are rated down to 38˚ and are much lighter and thinner feeling that the Xcel. Only used them once for maybe 2 hours in 46˚ water and they were pretty, pretty good. My feet were cold at the end but then would also have been cold in the Xcels. Good option if you're not going to surf when the water is at its coldest I think, more nimble feeling.

 

I bought a surfboard in September that I'm still waiting to be delivered.

Let see... I bought some fins to replace broken ones on a couple boards. Cheap ones though. After all, this ain't space travel.

I bought a manatee that takes me out to the lineup so I don’t have to paddle. It’s got a harness that it tows me into the biggest sets on the outside bar. Best investment I’ve made besides the acid I took to find the manatee dealer.

Nothing! I usually get at least a board or two a year. Not this year. Last new one was the mini last November. I did get a new 3/2 in October because mine had two holes in the knees and was ripped down the rib area. Should really get a new 5/4 but mines still kicking and iv been spending lots of money on this wedding. So iv been putting it off til it completely dies

I am starting to get the itch for a board. Found a 6’ Dumpster Diver on CL I wouldn’t mind having but I’ll wait and see if the guy will come down on the price.

Come to think of it, I haven't bought a new board in a while as well. Recently, I enquired with both Lopez and Coil, only got an answer from Coil, who was open to make me a custom. I think I should reopen that conversation with him, some called Kim, if I remember correctly. I would like a "wider board" with a nice diamond tail, as pictured on line on a separate model. I am NOT ready yet to give up shorter boards and ride just longboards due to age. I don't surrender easily.........
