    It is ALL about JESUS!

As we come up on this Christmas season, a lot of us tend to lose focus what the reason for celebrating is all about. We get bombarded with crazy ideas on how we can make somebody happy by buying that special gift or on the other hand wondering constantly if we are going to receive that gift we feel we rightfully deserve. On a personal note, I was there at one time in my life and it was not too long ago.
Stressing out and living the LIE of the commercialized Christmas. We need not live like that no more.It can still be exciting, even without the big jolly guy. Let us be honest with one another, we all know who fronts the bill for the gifts. This life is about being honest and this is one silly little falseness we can all live without. It is not us trying to take the fun out of it, but it is about putting the TRUTH back into CHRISTMAS. It is great to gather as a family around Christmas , but we need to remember what we are gathering to celebrate.Let us remember as CHRIST FOLLOWERS, it is ALL about JESUS.
To all my family, friends, people I have meant once, or people who I may have never meant…..JESUS loves you! He wants you to receive that FREE GIFT this CHRISTMAS season. That Gift is ETERNAL LIFE. This life here is temporary ,but with JESUS as your SAVIOR HEAVEN is FOREVER. It is not about presents, it is about HIS PRESENCE. This holiday season is not about this big jolly guy handing out gifts, it is about the FREE GIFT IN A SAVIOR THAT WAS BORN NAMED ’JESUS’.

It's definitely not about buying people shiit . So you're right on that tip.

It's definitely not about false deities, so you're wrong there.

Chrismas is about making kids and the needy happy for a few days, enjoying the company of friends and family, eating great food and drinking great beer.

...and maybe gettin up on dem cheba cheeb

If you are gonna preach truth about Christmas, you should probably start out by saying it is a pagan holiday. According to all historical accounts jesus was actually born in the summer months. Based on the reports in the bible where the stars would have been in the night sky.

You'd think such a "follower" of jesus would be hip to such things.

But amen to not buying a whole bunch of crap. Materialism needs to go.

I'm all for materialism if it involves more surfboards for me & my friends to ride and have fun with.

And, so are you wayne the hypocritical insaaaaane because YOU lurk & stalk in your quest for 'free' surfboards and gear. You do this materilistic pandering under the guise of some BS line about it being good for the kiddies. When, in actuality, you're just a pimp for your mythical being hayzeus effing keeeeerist.

Face your reality: you're utilizing materialism to entice young, easily swayed people into brainwashing & indoctrination of your bronze age myth. Such a phony bastard you are.

I think its fair to say that most dedicated surfers are non-materialistic by default. Additionally, and to an extreme in this case, most are highly resistant to anyone else telling them how to live, surf, celebrate, worship etc.
Keeping Christmas from being overblown is subject to the interperetation of whover is celebrating, or not, whether by buying a ton of junk, or donating time, money or gifts and everything in between.

And remember Santa is just another word for Satan.

"We need not live like that no more."
    Nice.

Christmas marks the rebirth of the sun, not son, as it begins its journey back into the Northern Hemisphere on December 25th. This happens after the sun idles in the Southern Hemisphere for a few days starting on December 21st (the winter solstice, aka "the death"). Is it coincidental that Jesus dies and is reborn on the same days? No! The bible is referring to the same f*cking thing. Wake up kook!

Most definitely I should and I could and I would......

2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.~Luke 2:1-21
