    Mine is "Five Summer Stories" - made 8 years before I was made. I love it top to bottom, soundtrack, surfers, cinematography, etc. The Lopez stuff is really off the charts. With so much progression in the pursuit since this film was made, I still would rather surf like these guys than the dudes doing kick-flips.

    Here's a hybrid teaser I found on YouTube which features some Zep.

    big wednesday i still watch the scene when jack is surfing alone before Nam like once a week.
    i used to watch the beginning of Big Wednesday untill Jack surfs and says goodbye, then i would watch all of apocalypse now, then watch the rest of Big Wednesday.

    Seldom, if you read this, It's better than The Golden Girls.

    Thicker Than Water for sure. Jack Johnson did an incredible job on it. Not very long of a film, but very impactful, with great surfing and good music to match the feel of the scenes. Anytime I need a stoke boost I toss this one on. Here's the trailer...

    Hahahaha! I'd much prefer that Big Wednesday/Apocalypse Now combo!

    For me, the whole ROT series back in the day.

    Surfwise = my favorite.

    (Not that you asked) the worst = Step into Liquid. Not exactly sure why I hate it, but I just do.

    I love the Greg Noll interviews in Riding Giants...or just hearing him talk in general.

    Toats magoats! This was the real deal back when I was wearing braces in school. Big Wednesday is great too, due to the drama, the CRASHERS! scene, as well as the historical backdrop of Nam and how lives and times were a changing. Thanks for the flashbacks bro!

    They were both done by John Milius is why they are cool to watch together. If anyone was wondering. Puts the graveyard scene in Wednesday into perspective. when they ask Jack if he was scared over there and he blanks out and says yeah....think of him as lance johnson.

    Thicker than water is a good one
    Riding giants is really cool but more documentary-ish

    My all time favorite is shelter I think. But since it was already mentioned the seedling, sprout, and the present are all really good too. Lots of diffrent shapes and what not.

    Siestas and olas I enjoy allot also. Both endless summers are classic.

    Surfs up is my favorite kids movie.

    Joel Tudor has a good one called "Longer" set to a jazz soundtrack. He takes all kinds of weird shapes and longboards out in surreal waves. Great cinematography. Not nearly as good as Hitler's Ruined Surf Trip.

    Paradigm Shift is worth checking out. Strictly surf footage, not a Hollywood movie.
