let that sink in. 2 months off plus 2 weeks Christmas plus spring break, plus 10? other banking holidays. plus thanksgiving Friday plus teacher convention (2 days) for a total of 185ish working days

There is soooo much work that goes into teaching; prep work, grading papers, not being able to put the 'mental fatigue' aside when you are done for the day, students have so many issues weather its attention, attitude, or the like, its harder than working in an office I imagine

MIS from my experience I would guess that salary is so high due to the 22 yrs experience and the way the pay scale works. I taught for 3 years(7/8 grade history) and made 38k, 40k, 42k respectively. My fourth year a raise was unlikely due to contract negotiations...not saying whether that's bad/fair/good, just what it was for me.

 

It does not suck on Long Island. It's just extremely hard to get a job

 

I feel bad for teachers.the elementary and middleschools aren't so bad,but highschool,those teachers have to put up with a lot of degenerate retards.they try to teach them the best they could,kids don't want to learn,and the teacher gets replaced.in nyc they hit teachers with bricks and throw them down stairs.i wish I was still in school lol,those were the days

Electing governors (I am 100 times more scarred of Omalley becoming president then Dixie christy)
Beach replenishment
Predicting local weather

Now teachers should get payed....more than actors and football stars. A problem I have, and hence the world, is the police.

The po-lice in small coastal towns in NJ get some righteous bucks. Patrolmen can make up towards $80,000-90,000 a year.

LT's and detectives make over a $100,000.

They don't do much, and they don't do anything 8 months of the year. They break-up parties, try and catch people with drugs, write traffic citations, run tag numbers of the dudes living at the Holgate trailer park, investigate five burglaries a year, and deal with some obnoxious drunks.

Why does a small town need 8 detectives?

 

I myself don't see the need for these 1 sqare mile towns that have their own police force.they usually don't mess with the locals,and drive around in circles for 8hrs a day.keyport,union beach,keansburg,atlantic highlands,highlands,sea bright,aberdeen,matawan,Monmouth beach,deal,etc.I commute through sea bright every day,and its the smallest town I can think of.all they do is patrol ocean ave.Middletown cops patrol rt 36 from Keansburg to the highlands,so why have a different police station every mile?

and this whole bridgegate thing with Christie.all these rebloodlicans can do is scream Benghazi,benghazi!!!who the phuk cares about Benghazi,this is America people!!if we can pin the blame on hilliary or Obama,which im not denying they are involved,how should Christie escape this,if his own administration is behind these ordeals.either u knew what was going on,or your too stupid to see what your own administrations up to.

The republicans in Congress voted NO !!! on increasing security funding for American embassies and consulates......not long before Benghazi. Libya is a hostile nation. They no likey Americans. Ummm, how many embassies and consulates were hit during George W. Bush's reign?

There is no Benghazi scandal. Who cares what the administration labeled the attack 8 hours after it happened. A planned terrorist attack or a spur-of-the-moment uprising over a video. Completely irrelevant.

There's no IRS scandal either. Almost none of these "COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS" that were denied tax exempt status were eligible. They weren't "community organizations," they were political organizations, which actually is tax fraud.

Obamacare is a conservative-tinged healthcare plan. The current administration wanted a system like the rest of the world....no insurance companies. But of course the repubs couldn't let their buddies in the insurance industry lose out. So you now have the version of Obamacare you see now.

The day after Sandy ransacked our town, governor Piss Twinkie came down here to reassure the media of his self proclaimed greatness. While selecting questions he felt like answering from the media, a local Sandy victim attempted asking fat ass a question. Piss Twinkie replied in his typical d!ckish style, "are you with the media?, no?, ok I don't have time for you". This happened on live TV. My mind was blown to say the least.
