    Funny, it really doesn't matter how much good music I listen to before I get suited up, somehow when I get out there all I get is some SH**TY retarded song like "do you belieeeeve in life after looove" repeating over and over again in my head. I think it has something to do with the rhythms of the swell.. I don't know what it is, but seems like it's almost always the most mood ruining crap loop that get's going...
    On the other hand, in atlantic city you basically have a soundtrack blasting from the pier.. and it's worse than the bogus Cher loop in my head.

    and boards of canada is good

    First post- hello all!
    I tend to go back to mid-90's music or stuff i really dug back then, probably because that was the era of my life that i had the most time to surf. These are probably the top 5 in my personal surf soundtrack hall-of-fame:

    Pixies- Trompe le Monde LP
    Dinosaur Jr- Green Mind LP
    Descendents- Liveage LP
    Dead Kennedys- Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death LP
    Tribe Called Quest - Low End Theory LP

    Hope all the east coasters get it good this weekend/following week...

    Saw another dinosaur jr fan in here, I Like beyond and farms by them as well as their older stuff. Also, I like some chevelle, a perfect circle, saosin, modest mouse, Interpol, tool, and rhcp stadium archadium to name a few.

    this version cuts out the last verse, which IMO is the most poignant, the words of a prophet....

    To divide and rule could only tear us apart;
    In everyman chest, mm - there beats a heart.
    So soon we'll find out who is the real revolutionaries;
    And I don't want my people to be tricked by mercenaries.

    I'm all over the place. Anything by Sublime is standard. Sometimes go with Indian Outlaw by Tim McGraw, any EDM, Sabotage by Beasties if it's raging on the water, Plowed by Sponge, lil bit o Whitesnake or Warrant, and believe it or not, Beautiful by One Direction gets my goofy foot in a goofy stoke. Don't judge.
