The traffic over there is pathetic actually, it's not much more active than here.

This is one of the things that most disturbs me about how people "think" in society today. If you aren't with me, you are against me. If you don't take action, you are complicity.

No. Some things just don't mean as much to me as they do to you. Sometimes, I just don't give a fvck about your "cause".

    That used to be okay...

Thank you antoine. I'm sure we're not alone, it's just hard to hear over the rabble rabble chatter from each side.

Not everything is an Us or Them issue. But that's what we're becoming.

Whatever happened to sharing ideas and challenging one's own beliefs? That's what separates us from most of the rest of the world... and when that goes...

Exactly, we gather like minded individuals and insult, shout down, dogpile opposing views until they disappear into their own corners, angry and less inclined to be objective, reinforcing echo chambers. Pretty much cancel culture. The new norm.

LB Crew...I've always had so much respect for you, as a human and as a waterman from the generation above mine. I take solace in the fact that you remain a voice of reason.

    Well said Manik.

I for one eat quiche from time to time when my chef wife makes it. Pouilly-Fuiss'e aka "Fussy Pussy" is the best wine to pair with it. Sharp and sparkly, cuts right through the garlic and cheese.

I also like my Delmonico steak medium rare, with a good bottle of Valpolicella, down here in the dirty souff it needs to be slightly chilled not 76 degrees room temp.

Not only do all us surfers on the internet have stupid opinions on politics, religion and healthcare, so do all my family and friends. Half are always wrong, but not me.

Back to looking at the wave cams of clear water and pancake seas. Waiting for lunch...

All hail The Center!!! Peace ya'll and youze guys and gals and nonbinary folks out there. Life is goode! Enjoy and smell the quiche.

    Fkn A surfdogg.

Speaking of quiche...the quiche I knew growing up was more like zuchini fritters, I guess the Italian version of quiche. I had my first quiche from a frenchman from this place Jean Jacques somewhere in westchester county. Let me tell you that shit was out of this world. Probly the only real french food I've ever eaten, but those fkn guys make good quiche.

And I'm about the furthest thing away from an elitist or whatever the association on qstroke is.

What does it matter what the traffic is over there as opposed to over here? What does it matter that one guy made fun of another guy's choice of food? What does it matter that some people(surfers or otherwise) are interested in politics? The content on both sights is mostly made up of surf talk. The other site still has a political thread that can be avoided by simply not opening it. I will post in it from time to time when stuff I see in the world that affects me gets me angry. Most guys went over there because they felt they could not speak freely on ANY topic without getting banned for using a curse word. That and it took forever for this site to fix it surf forecast (I use Surf Captain btw) I enjoy the banter and the guys on both sites. I admire the guys on here for keeping it going and the positive vibes. I like the other site for providing full freedom to say whatever the hell I want. It's all good. Slide on....

Well said Chavez, didn't mean to have a thin skin, and slide on is right, if it wasn't for surfing we wouldn't be on here in the first place.
And I'm not holding some grudge against kidde either, I always liked his posts, liked when he popped back on here for a while, he even had the same OJ white Bronco as I had....lets pass the peace pipe, get the munchies, and eat some quiche, lol. Slide on.

Late to the wine and quiche party, but I'd say a good NY State dry Reisling if it's cheese based... a white Burgundy if it's meat based.
