ok last post on here lol...

reason I wouldn't move to one of these epic wave locations like many people do,like mexico, indo is because I don't prefer that taste of women.women play a big role for vacations lol.im not like jimbo pellegrine who bangs like 20 15yr old Asians every week, cant do it.same with mexico.puerto rico I'm ok with, but waves aren't always that good there.but if ur on the other side and enjoy males lol,u might have a good time in indo, lots of crossdressers there,ok got to stop starting to creep myself out lol

Nice. I love Nica (7 trips). Always waves, even in the winter. Going again this Summer.

My brother lives in Jakarta. He said A surfer could survive for 2 years off 25k usd. probably doable if you don't get killed on the ticket.

+1 for Indo. Although January - May are not prime months. $8000 - plane tix would last you the entire time...easy. $900/month at $30/day is plenty to get by off the beaten track over there.

I second Indo/SE Asia. I'm eyeing a summer Indo trip myself. From what I've heard you could definitely make it with 8K.

Next option, Euro style; probably the best chicks and food, but certainly the most expensive. Though some Spanish surfers were telling me you could easily get by on $20 a day there. Something to consider, Portugal is really cheap too.

Then there's South America. Ecuador/Peru/Chile are all connected, all beautiful, and there's a ton of waves. Ton of other sites too, if the knee is ailing. Ecuador and Peru can be very cheap; Chile is kind of expensive. Peru's coast can be rather ugly. Chile's is epically beautiful.

Always awesome to see someone living their life, their own way.

Go to Ecuador and report back to me... lol... I'm taking my wife there for two weeks this summer, (their winter if you can call it that) for our 30th anniversary. Seriously thinking about a move to South American coast in 5-7 years.

I may have told you this before--stay on the coast. Interior towns harbor a high degree of anti-americanism I am told. Rebels and all that crap. Suggest you research it on news outlets before you venture inland. When you go, I hope you have a great time and a safe time, especially for your wives sake. 30 years!! Congrats, man!!

Thanks, Barry! been researching a bit. looking at Olon. Close to Montanita, BUT not Montanita. I'd like us to be able to spend a few days in the Galapagos, too.

lol yea idk ill be traveling with a french canadian chick most likely, so exotic women wont be an issue this trip. And don't worry barry i dont have dreams, only nightmares doom and torn MCLS.

Yea all good advice here, thinking carribean would be a good cheap-esc option to hit from the east coast and then if theres still some el nino kicking in march ill either head to hawaii or maybe go back to pavones for a tactical south swell strike as sigmund suggested.

I guess its all in mother natures hands. 8 grand sure aint alot but for a single 23 year old who doesnt mind camping most of the time (or hosteling) it should be plenty for a few months in the right theatre.
