Agreed. I'm more in favor of alternative fuel. My basic standard is this--I'll drive whatever as long is it can go offroad, go around 250 miles without re-charging/re-fueling, isn't a tiny passenger compartment and can go up to 90 miles per hour.

Mostly hydrogen or ethanol will work for the above.

My point about the batteries is that no matter what you propose, the enviro-nazis will always have a gripe about it.

That is one of the problems of folks on the extreme ends, right and left. I can't concern myself with everyone's gripes!

I have your answer.. I used 3 cray supercomputers to come up with the answer to this question.

A Thermo Nuclear Explosion of at least 1500 megatons will ensue. The entire atmosphere will burst into flames. As a result chimpanzees will start speaking and rule the world, with armed gorilla's riding on horseback hunting down mute humans.

If this track runs true then a few answers on the effect of a tropical storm interacting with the oil mess may materialze - the longer term answers are, well, longer term. Regardless, I can't help but believe in the near-term that is will get nastier. A forecast track of Invest 93L, soon to be named TS Alex

    reading MY post

bp did know the risk and were told so. and i didn't say death...i said prosecution, which for them might be worse...a suit in stir...yikes.... but the likelihood a CEO will spend any time in a prison for anything like this is nil...they just throw money at it...and they have plenty of that. and people should be angry if they are being screwed...if i had a fishery (42% of our seafood comes from gulf) or cared about shrimp (100 % of american shrimp comes from gulf) i'd be pissed....and i believe many states still use the death penalty for various crimes, so the "death" cry may not be entirely out of bounds....the state has killed people for less...

Can you give me an example of the state killing someone for less? I didn't say angry was wrong, but what you do with that anger can be. I'm sure you've hear of torches and pitchforks. I wasn't addressing you if you didn't call for death, I was just saying that anyone who does is an idiot.

    WRONG.

The dispersants they were using could end up causing a good amount of oil to end up being rained upon the coast.

Just to play devil's advocate - that article is not stating it will happen, its asking if it could happen. So just like it "could" end up mixing with precipitation, it also "could not".

I'm left leaning politically and socially, but I like my news unbiased and AKA is correct on this one. HP is very liberal in there perspective. The media is getting so bad in this country that The Daily Show is one of the only sources of actual facts.
