While we're waiting for Matthew to make it's way up the coast (maybe), let's discuss your next surf trip. Anybody got their tickets booked already? Who's got a new travel board they've waiting to break out? Got pics? Post em up. Anybody just get back from a trip and would like to share their experience? Do it here.... I've been itching for another trip somewhere but haven't decided where yet. Discuss...

Classic Next to PR, it seems like one of the more easier routes to go. And most everybody (minus o barry) has a great time there.
Yeah, I've actually been to Rincon 4 times in the past few years. So i'm a little burnt out and looking for something less Zika as well.
Yeah, I kept saying I was going to hit those spots but once I got there I was happy with the surf right there in Rincon so I never left lol, i'm lazy like that, especially when on vacation. The first trip down we drove all over the damn place and after we decided we wanted to keep it more leisure and don't go to far, although we always end up in Mayaguez and Aguadilla to find things to do other than surf.
Planning on a big Hawaii trip for winter 17'. May try to squeeze a Nica trip in with my cousin this February but not solid on that yet. Took my girl to the VB oceanfront a couple of weeks back and played tourist...it was knee high.
Nothing really planned this Winter but I'm thinking about doing an outer-island Bahamas trip. It'll be more of a spur of the moment type thing in the dead of winter if it looks like there will be swell. I'll bring the ole lady and prolly my youngest. It won't just be a surf trip though. I'll plan to dive and fish as well. Do it on the cheap.
If you do go again, and are looking for other things to do, I suggest La Parguera, stay for one night, and do an evening boat trip to Phosphorescent Bay. It is a bay full of luminescent micro-organisms that light up as fish swim through them--quite a show. Then, dinner and drinks in La Parguera (a party town) can be fun. I delivered the San Juan Star for 5 years as a kid living in SJ; I often won weekend trips there for recruiting new subscribers. Of course, I did not drink then...ahem.....but had fun anyways!!
Great suggestion Barry, we actually did that on our first trip down, our Honeymoon, and it was choice. The crew is awesome, they loaded us up with beer and empanadillas and were a fun group. The old dude running the place is very nice and does't stop talking
Nice, as close as I have been to the Bahamas, living in FL my whole life, I have never been. I really want to, just never something I think of when it comes time for vacation. But that may change, would be interested to hear your experience.
Headed down to Nica in Jan... I have never been and hear it is superb all the time. Guess I will find out.
Nice! Bring your bandit repellent, and watch out for giant machetes lol But seriously, that's going to be an awesome trip. What's the flight time on that?
Check out the Abacos. Killer marina/harbor and a couple of waves that can get good (but inconsistent). Some really good fishing, restaurants etc.
This is a 'crew trip'. 3 guys I have known forever. The guy organizing the whole thing has been many times and is setting up flight and place to stay. I dont have an itin yet but I guess it is similar to getting to CR.
