What's Your Next Surf Trip Going to Be?

I'm on a surf trip now in Nica. Day 10, and I'm so surfed out, it's head high and offshore right now, and I'm thinking, meh. I will soon regret this.

After seeing Mitchell's vid and pics, im going to Peru.

 

Nica is my next "planned" surf trip yay....But it's not until April '18 boo.

Heading to Corolla NC in a few days with the whole family. Surf expectations for this trip are super low, but somehow the last couple years I've managed to score some small clean fun surf so you never know.

 

I would pick El Salvador over Peru (where we went anyway) by a large margin. El Sal is just such a solid pick for an easy trip. Direct inexpensive 5 hour flights from DC or NYC, easy 1-1.5 hour access from the capital city airport to a whole bunch of spots, and most importantly perfect right hand pointbreaks facing right into the southern Hemi swell direction so pretty much anytime from April through October your pretty much going to score.

 

If I want cold water surfing, exactly as pictured there, I drive 9/10 of a mile East, and slip into the water.
i am not impressed by it. However, just because you are gay over Mike Fanning, and you know he went there, if you want to go, be my guest. And don't forget, those are summer pictures. Have Xcel make you a 10/9 mm wetsuit; it might keep you warm. The Norwegian girls will not--you are American. And you smell......

How bad were you picked on as a child? Seriously. I saw that video well after booking my trip so it had nothing to do with Mick freakin Fannning. I don't even really like him but the video is rad. Sorry, I have my sh!t together and actually travel and do things besides troll everyone on a surfing website. If you actually read my post I said I'm going in the fall when the water is at it's WARMEST. God your stupid!!!!! Is this your 9/10 of a mile drive? Yes, I've been there too and it sucks, it's redneck and the water's freezing. Maybe that's why your always angry?

 

It does suck. And therefore, going to Norway for the same thing isn't a brilliant move.

That point/Cove/reef in Norsk has been getting media play in the surf mags for over 30 years, not really new.

Looks rad but hella cold, probably not considered a destination per de except by guys like Keith Malloy and a couple of Santa Cruz guys.

If I was in the area, I'd definitely surf it. Iceland too, that place is the shizz
